My First 12-Week Goal: Eating Sensibly (The Simple System I’m Following)

My First 12-Week Headline Goal: Eating Sensibly

If I’m going to reclaim my health, I have to start with what I do every day—especially with food.

So for my first 12-week season, my headline goal is simple:

Eat sensibly.

Not perfectly. Not extreme. Just consistently sensible choices that I can repeat.

To keep this practical, I’m using a weekly scorecard approach (inspired by the 12-week execution mindset): focus on the actions I control, track them weekly, and keep improving.

What “Eating Sensibly” Means for Me

For the next 12 weeks, eating sensibly includes:

  • Water intake

  • Protein intake

  • Healthy carbs (not random carbs)

  • A 6-hour eating window

  • Fasting the remaining hours

  • Keeping meals simple and repeatable

This isn’t about being strict. It’s about building trust with myself again.

My Weekly Scorecard (Simple + Clear)

Each week, I’m tracking execution—did I do what I said I would do?

Daily Targets

1) Water: ✅ Hit my daily water goal
2) Protein: ✅ Hit my daily protein goal
3) Healthy carbs: ✅ Carbs were intentional and balanced
4) 6-hour eating window: ✅ Ate within my planned window
5) Fasted outside the window: ✅ Stayed consistent with fasting

How I’ll Score It

I’m keeping it simple:

  • Each target is worth 1 point per day

  • 5 targets per day = 5 points/day

  • 7 days per week = 35 points/week

Weekly Execution Score

  • 30–35 points: Excellent week (momentum week)

  • 25–29 points: Solid week (progress week)

  • 20–24 points: Needs adjustment (reset week)

  • Under 20: Time to simplify (back-to-basics week)

The goal isn’t to be perfect—my goal is to stay in the game and tighten it up week by week.

My “Slip Plan” (So One Mistake Doesn’t Become a Week)

If I miss a day, I’m not starting over next Monday.

My reset is immediate:
The next meal is the reset.
The next glass of water is the reset.
The next decision is the reset.

Consistency is built by returning quickly.

Why This Matters

A lot of people try to change everything at once and burn out.

I’m choosing something different:
one focused goal
one simple scorecard
one week at a time

This is how I’ll rebuild my health—steady, sustainable, and real.

Closing

If you’re working on your own health goals, I want to encourage you:

You don’t need a perfect plan.
You need a plan you can actually follow.

This week, I’m focused on eating sensibly—and I’m going to win the week.
